Medications

At A Country Canine Resort, we administer your pet’s medications at no cost to you

If your dog requires medicine administration, it must be in the original bottle from the Veterinarian with the proper instructions. We are required by the State of Colorado to only administer as the vet instructed. The only exception is if the medicine is over the counter.
If your dog requires any anti anxiety medicine we must have a prescription from the vet in addition to the medicine and the original bottle, with the correct dosing.

Off-label/over the counter meds and products not labeled for use on pet animals may be used only with the written consent of the owner. (i.e., fish oil, joint supplements, grass savers, food additives).

Our facility may not administer tranquilizers, sedatives, or any other pharmaceutical drug or non-pharmaceutical drug or supplement designed to calm an animal unless the drug or supplement is administered under the direction of the animal’s veterinarian, with a written prescription from the animal’s veterinarian, and written consent from the animal’s owner. (i.e., CBD products, calming chews & oils, etc.)

Insulin Administration:

We will administer insulin for your pets as it is prescribed at $5 per dose. If the owner instructs us not to alter the dosage regardless of how your pet eats, we will give it as instructed. If your pet does not eat we will encourage adequate intake and may call the owner or the vet for advice on dosing. Pets in an unfamiliar setting often do not eat as consistently and diabetic dogs may have sugar levels raise or lower based on intake and stress.  We ask that you provide syringes and medication for Insulin.

Pet’s Belongings

We provide rubber mats and/or raised beds for our guests. We also have radiant heated flooring for the winter months, and a cooling system and misters when the temperatures start to rise.

If you would like to bring a bed for your dog, you are welcome to do so. Please be aware that in a different environment some dogs will chew their belongings.

We provide all dishes and bowls. All dishes are sanitized in a commercial dishwasher.

We are more than happy to give your pet any treats, blankets, and toys that you provide.
We have treats for sale in the lobby as well.

If you bring your dog on a leash we will send it home with you for safekeeping.

We do recommend that you provide your own food, especially for pets with a sensitive digestive system, but we can provide food for $2 per feeding. We provide Diamond Naturals White Fish and Sweet Potato, which is a high quality, grain free food.
